Peruvian cotton are grouped into two main varieties: Pima and Tangüis, which are processed into either flat or weaved fabric, and produce garments like T-shirts, polo shirts, sweaters, shorts, pants, as well as baby clothes, targeting market segments that prioritise quality.
Peruvian garments are sold by renowned brands and fashion houses such as Armani Exchange, Calvin Klein, Giorgio Armani, Guess, Lacoste, Massimo Dutti, Nautica, Polo Ralph Lauren, Reebok, Swiss Army, Tommy Hilfiger, Victoria Beckham, and Zara, to mention a few.
Alpaca wool is one of the most unique fibres in the world due to its extremely soft and delicate, but also strong and resistant, fibres ideal for industrial processing. Furthermore, it has thermal properties and is easy to dye into 14 industrial colours.
The fibre is manually classified and is used to make cloths, sweaters, accessories, and blankets; it also can be mixed with other natural fibres. Peru is the world’s largest producer of alpaca and vicuña wool.
